Background
NetRefer is a leading affiliate marketing platform that empowers businesses to manage and optimize their affiliate programs. With a diverse client base spanning industries like gaming, finance, and e-commerce, the platform offers tools for tracking, reporting, and rewarding affiliate performance. As a UX Designer, I was tasked with enhancing the platform’s usability, addressing pain points, and creating a seamless experience for both program managers and affiliates. The goal was to make the platform more intuitive, scalable, and efficient while maintaining its reputation as a trusted industry leader.
Core problem
Several challenges were identified in the existing platform that hindered its effectiveness:
Complex Reporting Tools: Users struggled to generate and interpret reports due to an overly technical interface and lack of visualization.
Cumbersome Onboarding: New affiliates and managers found the onboarding process lengthy and unintuitive, leading to high drop-off rates.
Fragmented Workflows: Key features like campaign creation, commission tracking, and payment processing were disjointed, causing inefficiencies.
Outdated Design: The platform’s visual design was not user-friendly or aligned with modern SaaS standards, impacting user trust and satisfaction.
These issues limited the platform’s ability to scale and retain its user base effectively.
